Federation of East European Family History
Societies
International Conference
August 1 - 3, 2008 in Pittsburgh,
Pennsylvania
Including Over 20 Lectures and
Presentations on Galicia
and Galician related topics!
The Federation of East European Family History Societies (FEEFHS)
is holding its annual conference this year in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on August
1 - 3, 2008.
Although the conference covers material for any Central and
Eastern European genealogist, this year's FEEFHS conference in Pittsburgh proves
to be a Galician goldmine!
I personally invite EVERYONE to this year's conference, which will be
featuring over 20 lectures covering many Galician related topics!
The line-up of speakers and topics is really impressive.
I'm especially excited to be joining Brian Lenius, aka Mr. Galicia,
in Pittsburgh. And I'm thrilled to see again
Stephen Morse, creator of many incredibly powerful searchable databases,
including the greatest Ellis Island databases around. (Yes...THAT Stephen Morse!) Also
presenting are two well-known Polish researchers and authors, Jonathan D.
Shea and Ceil Wendt Jensen. And for you Carpatho-Rusyns out
there, come see John Righetti. And the crowd pleaser Lisa Alzo,
author, lecturer and frequent contributor to genealogy magazines. Oh, and don't forget me...Matthew
Bielawa and my bar side chats...just don't spill any piwo/pyvo on my
Lvivska Oblast map!!
If you can't make it to Lwów/Lviv
this year...why not do the next best thing?
Check out all these Galician related topics! (There
are many other genealogy topics at the conference; these are just the ones of
real importance to the Galician researcher.)
